RUN FREE

Of the equine population in the US the wild horses that run free range from approximately  63,432 all the way to 85,249 [according to Bureau of Land Management].  These mustangs we’ll call them have their own preservation, too.  Imagine that!

When I think of these amazing creatures I think about their implausible freedom:  freedom from noisy streets, urgent appointments, loud sirens, paying bills, safety and security concerns and coping with endless taxes.  No!  They’re free running across the plains, resting in forests, and breathing the clean unvarnished air.

What austere animals!  I cannot help but think about our own minds—-our thoughts that often unexpectedly weigh us down.   But these horses, their precious freedom is one of openness, togetherness and resting when they will.

Is your mind currently bogged down with the weight of some unnecessary guilt, endless worries, troublesome disappointments, or unforgettable regrets.

Unclutter your mind.  Let it run free like the wild mustangs.  Smell the flowers and fresh dew and cool winds.  Run free.  Let go of old “I’ll-get-you-back” attitudes.  Run free.  Hose your mind down with new optimism and  hope.  You can do this….you can.

Run free with a renewed attitude and strong faith.  Rare up like a wild stallion with your renewed thinking.

Run free.

Out of my distress I called on the Lord;

The Lord answered me and set me ‘free’ {Psalm 118:5 Amplified Bible Version}.
