Our mother was a priceless Christmas gift to me and my brothers and sister. Mother was wrapped in one big beautiful package of joy, happiness and love.
We don’t use the word ‘glee’ much, but our home was filled with glee. Mom somehow in her jolly way put steroids to our Christmases.
I know of no one who ever enjoyed the experience of Christmas like mother. The Christmas Season at our house was filled with her enthusiasm and the mouthwatering stories she shared with us.
From draping the Christmas tree in shiny ornaments to baking delectable homemade pies our mother continuously brought us smiles and the true wonder of what Christmas is all about.
Unfortunately according to my research each year, an estimated 4.2 million young people (youth, young adults and teens) experience homelessness in the United States.
How fortunate my siblings and I are to carry in the deep recesses of hearts memories we cannot forget…memories especially of mom making the Christmas Season so exceptionally special.
I also wish to God in heaven that magically every child could have somehow stepped into the memorable Christmases our mother made so alive and so overwhelmingly memorable.
