HEAVENLY FATHER

Thank you for listening to my repetitive prayers 

For being merciful in spite of my stupid mistakes 

For loving me though I have a waning faith at times

Thank you Lord for putting up with my unnecessary fears about tomorrow 

For helping me though I feel totally inadequate some somber days

For your amazing healing, that miraculous touch, you’ve given me and those I have earnestly prayed for 

For new inspiring and caring friends 

For listening to me when I feel completely inferior 

For your abiding Spirit moment by moment 

I appreciate your remarkable patience with me when I am impatient with you 

Thank you God for the laughter and smiles of children

For those surprising rain-storms peppering down upon the roof during the nighttime 

For the little furry friends who accompany us with their own God-given humor and originality 

Thank you for tolerating my many unwarranted worries 

For your comforting word of assurance and the reminder of your marvelous grace

For reminding me when I forget your countless blessings you have heaped upon me and my family, my friends and this great nation 

For those thousands of unsung heroes nursing and protecting us around this globe 

Thank you, too, for the reality that I need you, your power and presence each passing day I am alive 

And truly Lord, accept my greatest praise and abundant thanksgiving for the priceless gift of Jesus Christ, your sacrificial Son who gave his all for each and everyone of us.
